Brandon Stone is a creative person whose name is known in all points of the Earth. Musician and producer, he was able to achieve all this thanks to his talent, dedication, sincerity and love for his main business - music.

Brandon, indeed, can become an example for many. The artist told us about his childhood, the most striking events from his biography, books, work, fans, style and much more! Read the interview with Brandon Stone on VLVmag!

— Brandon, tell us about your childhood. Where was it? What did you do? What was your favorite fobby ...?

— You know, my childhood, started right on the stage. I did not have a normal childhood, for example, where boys play football ... or what else do normal children usually do? All my childhood I spent in a vocal-instrumental ensemble with 12 girls and one boy. I spoke with these children on various sites of the Soviet Union. Georgia, St. Petersburg, Kiev, Syzran, Armenia, Azerbaijan ... Once even in London. We performed on concerts every week and almost every day we had rehearsals. From the age of five and a half years, we were preparing, and from seven years already performed on stage. And I do not regret it at all.

Maybe, I would like to get involved in other things, but there was no time left. Because there was still a school, then a music school, and in the evenings - rehearsal with the band. But it was happiness, because we developed and grew with music in the heart. Maybe I wanted to play football, but the football player would not come out of me anyway, so I do not regret anything.

- If you could come back in those days, would you make any changes in your life?

- If I could go back in those days and change something, I probably would have told to myself a couple of music hits. Then I could write them later, knowing that they would be hits. I'm talking about those melodies, for example, Jackson "You're not alone", or something from the Beatles, from "Abba", or Ace of Base "She lives a lonely life". It would be cool!

- At the age of 11, you became the winner of the international music festival in England. This event is very memorable to you? Tell us about your feelings after you knew that you won your first major victory in the international arena.

- Yes, it was in my biography. I won the Grand Prix when we went to London with the ensemble. Of course, if you live in Georgia and have never been abroad, when you suddenly find yourself in London, everything seems amazing. We all fell into different families. The first time I saw England and you know what I remember most of all? In the 80's, we did not know what are chips or muesli with milk ... And then I got into an English family, where they looked at me, probably, as on alien. I was amazed at everything, even the products. In the morning, the hostess asked me: "Will you eat cereal?". I say, yes, of course, I'll have cereal ... But I confused them then I asked to give me ketchup to the dish. They looked at me strangely! After they laughed at me all morning, and I thought that the English have bad food.

But in general, England was cool! And you know, after this trip, I wanted not just large-scale, but global success. That's how my life changed after visiting London.

- You are a popular composer and producer all over the world. You create songs which always have great success. What is the secret of your work?

- There is no secret. Just the ability to create is given from above. And it does not come to the composer at will. This happens when, for example, you fly in an airplane or you look at different people. Sometimes, you are in a foreign country or you just go in a car, and suddenly a certain melody is overshadowing you ... Now, when I'm driving, it can happen in any moment.

But the main thing in this is discipline. I learned this from Germany, where I realized that time is a very important aspect in my life. I really appreciate and allocate it so that I do not sleep until Iate ... You know, there are people who want to sleep and sleep, sleep and sleep ... I can not do this! I have to sleep 6 hours and go to the studio. I go there to work as everybody. When people tell me that they write music at night, it's strange to me. Because the head can not work at night. It's very difficult to make arrangements. You had a busy day, your head is full of problems, deeds, and you still have to write music ... What happens? That is why, I always write on a fresh head. I woke up, drank coffee, had breakfast and went to work until things got better. And this is very important for me. This is how I usually create.

- What is the most successful track in your career? Tell us more about your most vivid works. 

- I think "She" with Vakhtang is a very successful track, because many people recognize me and invite me by this song. It has become very popular in Russia. But I like "big" songs, saturated, where there is a lot of depth, of flight, where you can show your voice. I wrote the song "Angel", which I dedicated to the family. Maybe you heard it, even though it did not become popular. At concerts this song always goes "with a bang!" And I'm very pleased, because with it my soul sings.

If I had my will, I probably would write only there kind of songs. On the other hand, I understand that if the whole concert will be only with slow compositions, people probably will not sit out more than an hour in the hall. Therefore, I like to interfere with songs - fast with slow ones. But the biggest creation in my career, it's still is "Angel".

- You are known in almost every part of the world and, of course, have a large number of fans. Tell us more about them. Since when did your fan club grow noticeably? How often do you meet with fans? 

- Fans have always been, but after the project "The Voice", of course, everything has changed. Even those who had not known previously about me, started to request in Google "Brandon Stone the voice". After all, the vocal project is just one opportunity to show oneself. And a very important aspect for those who are going to this contest is to continue in writing songs. I already had a very large song base. But I'm glad that people, hearing my voice on TV, looked at YouTube and learned new songs for themselves.

Yesterday I had a concert in Baku, people came to me and said that they heard me thanks to the project "Voice 6". They did not know that I have so many beautiful compositions. Now they have downloaded all my songs and say that they hear only my music in the car. And it's nice. I'm glad that my music is being listened. So I do not live in vain and do not create in vain. Thanks to my fans, my creativity goes to people, throught the Internet, someone write, others pick up - the word of mouth is working. Because, fans are joy. Thanks to them.

- When you have serious performances, how do you prepare yourself for the right wave? How do you cope with unnecessary emotions that can prevent yourself from performance?

- Every performance for me is serious. And I'm worried before each of them. This is normal, and for any artist the excitement must be present. Some people say to me: "Oh, I do not worry at all before going out" - it should not be so! We all worry a little. You never know what audience is in the hall, how will it perceive you ... How to deal with it? You just have to adjust yourself to go out and give people a positive mood. This is the most important thing in our profession.

There should be no negative energy from the artist in no case. He should go on stage, give people a positive energy and get back five times more to charge for the next appearances. It is very important. I always watch every person in the hall, try to see the audience, understand her reaction. For me this is an important aspect.

- Give advice to novice artists, what is needed to do to avoid nerves and get real pleasure from the scene.

- The artist should give the audience such a joy that after the concert they leave contented, in a good mood. So that in their lives, except for work and everyday routine, appeared at least a little positive. And that's why I advise young singers to set themselves up before concerts. The excitement will be. But when you leave, just look at the hall, smile at the audience, they will smile at you, and you will immediately forget about all your worries.

And if there is some stress, but it is necessary to work out the event, professionalism will enter the work. This is exactly the thing that you just need to be able to. You're an artist, a person of a creative profession, which means that you need to control emotions. It does not matter who spoiled your mood, once you stepped onto the stage - you're a completely different person. You're an artist. And it does not matter what happened in your life - you have to work, give people a positive energy and return to your problems after the concert.

- If not music, then ...

- If it's not music, then ... I'd be a cook. I love to cook different dishes!

- What does it mean for you to be stylish? In your opinion, "fashion" and "style" are similar concepts?

- I like to dress nicely, but in moderation. I'll explain why. What is fashionable today does not always suit you personally. Very many girls, and men too, are trying to keep up with today and this, of course, is cool. Watch fashion, be stylish, be in a trend, so that people can see that you are not a backward person ... But. There are some things that you just do not fit, even if it in fashion now. So I always try to find my style somewhere in between. If now, for example, it's stylish to wear ripped jeans, then I simply combine them with classics.

Classics in general for me is very important. It comes also from the kind of creativity. For example, I write music not only for young people, but also for the adult public. And let in everyday life I really like to dress in "rags" - such hoodies, long sweaters, torn vests and jeans - I can not afford to go out live this on stage. For me it's just disrespect for the music I'm doing.

- Do you have a favorite brand? The most important thing in your wardrobe is ...

- My wardrobe is always filled with suits, jackets. Jackets - it's generally the most-most important thing in my wardrobe. I have a lot of them and different colors. Of course black and blue predominate, because they suit me most, but still they are all of different shapes. Probably, about 150 pieces are hanging in the wardrobe, because in every store I always buy some jacket. Although you can wear one and the same - no one will notice, because it is still black. But there are some details and for me it matters.

And of course, for a man it's very important to wear branded belts. In general, you can not buy brands, I do not take it seriously, but the watch and belt - this is what a man should have branded.

- Do you like to read? Do you have a favorite genre in literature? What work and quotation do you consider the most relevant for today?

- I like classical literature. In my childhood I read a lot. My first book - Alexander Dumas, about the three musketeers. After it, at the age of eight, I began to read all French literature. Then, when I became more mature, I read a lot of Schiller, Goethe. I lived in Germany, studied at a German school and therefore got acquainted with many German poets.

Later I almost stopped reading, because the Internet appeared and I was able to choose what I need, just from the Web. But lately I've started to read Pushkin again, Bulgakov ... Besides, when I collaborated with Mikhail Nikolayevich Zadornov, he sent me interesting poems of famous poets Nikolai Gumilyov and Yevgeny Yevtushenko. And in the past 10 years, I generally re-read very many Russian classics.

- What are you preparing for your audience in the near future? What does Brandon Stone plan in 2018? Your main goal for this year is ...

- Firstly, I'm preparing a new song, which will be premiered on March 20. It is called "I believe again" and will be dedicated, as always, to all beloved women. I like to sing for women, because women are everything. We live for them and thank God that we have them!

Another solo concert is planned to be held on April 15 in Moscow, in the center of "Golden Ring". This is my first solo album after the project "The Voice". I'll be very glad to see everyone on it. Still, by the end of the year I will definitely release an album. I plan to sing in duet with Nina Shatskaya from the project "The Voice", Honored Artist of Russia, with Vakhtang we already have a new duet called "Brother". With Emin I recorded a very interesting song. In general, the creative plans are huge and, believe me, this year singer Brandon Stone prepared very, very many things. My main goal for this year is a solo concert. And the next year - to collect audience in "Crocus City Hall". And in a couple of years, of course, to sing in the "Olympic"!
