 This is how the fashion designer, an activist and fighter for the cleanliness of the environment Jessica Chuan Yi Xin thinks. In 2016, she created an innovative textile - dense, shiny, found use in the manufacture of clothing and fashion accessories, it received the name "musical fabric".

Jessica Chuan thought about how to use magnetic film for a long time, because her worldview did not allow to simply throw the "trash" into the dump. The solution was prompted by the awesome talent of the designer - from tapes can be weaved a beautiful and practical fabric. So that is how were born the first bags, clutches, wallets and T-shirts, woven by hand from literally old songs ...

Collect funds for further promotion of the brand helped the campaign in Kickstarter, launched by the designer in 2016 to sell bags MusicCloth. It is worth noting that the price of items ranged from $ 70 to $ 150, which is not surprising, given the painstaking process of creating them.

Now this is not just a fashion project. It is an attempt to inform the public about the global problem of electronic waste and the need for their processing. Continuing to develop the concept, now Jessica and her team Rehyphen® offers master classes and seminars telling everyone how to do "musical fabric" on their own and create hundreds of items from it - from notebook cases to evening dresses.

Today, Jessica Chuan actively promotes her ideas in the circle of designers and does not plan to deviate from the planned vector of development. "What kind of designer do I want to be? I want to make clothes that respect people and the planet, "says the talented Malaysian.

The call to give a second life to tape cassettes, echoing all over the planet, reached the "culprit of the triumph" - the industrial giant Sony. However, the largest manufacturer of devices that seemed to have lost their relevance forever, understood the slogan in its own way.

Now the company plans to mass-produce new cassettes that can store tens of times more information than their predecessors. It is noted that the new development will find application as a backup data of warehouse on an industrial scale. And this means that the raw materials for the business of Jessica Chuan will be transferred to planet Earth a very long time.
