William Amor and his Les Créations Messagères from plastic

Creations with Message

People of art are usually entirely devoted to it and pay little attention to the fuss surrounding them. However, the French artist and florist William Amor can not be called a typical representative of bohemia. He has an active life position and uses his creations to draw public attention to the problem of environmental pollution with plastic debris.

Master classes by William are very popular in the capital of world fashion. The artist demonstrates how you can create incredibly realistic bouquets of flowers from the plastic bags and bottles. The designer calls his masterpieces "Plastic Stories" and says that animating plastic garbage gives him a new life.

The Amor's thirst of art did not emerge suddenly. The childhood of the future artist was filled with flower aesthetics and harmony. Little William dreamed of becoming a botanist and in his own garden grew a lot of plants, including rare ones - even then creativity was looking for exit. Caught in 2010 in Paris, Amor took place as a painter and earned a living by working mainly in advertising and design projects.

Communication with talented people inspired him. To some extent it satisfied the art hunger of the artist, but the lack of a garden oppressed more and more. "Flower addiction", as William calls his own state, turned out to be so strong that a man began ... to make flowers himself! It is worth noting that the first creations of the artist with great pleasure were immediately redeemed by friends.

The idea of creating flowers from polyethylene also was born not on an empty place. In 2011, William worked on the Brazilian project "Dolls carrying a dream" designed by Marine Peyre. Funny toys were made of garbage found on the beach. This was the beginning of the artist's desire to create beautiful things from what seems completely non-poetic.

William Amor received his first major order for four hundred flowers, for pool decoration at the opening of the exhibition at the art gallery. The start was given, and already in 2016 plastic flowers, completely indistinguishable from the real ones, took part in 12 exhibitions.

Meanwhile, the artist does not deny that such art is a business, and working with large customers helps to promote a personal project. Today, the startup Les Créations Messagères (it can be translated as "Creations with Message") is designed to draw public attention to the problems of environmental pollution with plastic waste.

"This is a very meaningful project, with a deep meaning. My flowers, born as a result of metamorphoses with garbage, carry information about eternal values. I do not buy material for my work, but I use what others have thrown out", the author says. He uses bottles, fishing nets, packaging, plastic bags ... The first from the garbage was born anemone. Then - poppies and camellias. And today, William Amor's magic fingers are focused on the creation of Ginkgo biloba, the first plant that grew in Hiroshima after the atomic bomb explosion.

The commercial component of the "plastic florist's" work allows everyone to enjoy its masterpieces. The artist periodically produces small series of designer jewelry - bracelets, brooches, accessories for hair, earrings. Performed in silver, they are sold in some jewelry stores in Paris. His floral installations are also ordered to decorate showcases and fashion collections.

By his work the artist calls to pay attention to the possibility of recycling waste and using them as design elements. And it is worth noting that these ideas are increasingly popular. Photo projects for high fashion magazines, exhibitions, art installations, participation in the Paris Design Week, personal master classes ... The capital of France is blossoming ever brighter with the easy hand of William Amor, who showed by his own example that there is something beautiful in everything, you just need to be able to see it .
